In this study, we are going to be considering the church – particularly, how we can identify the Lord’s church. This is an important topic whether we are learning about it for the first time or we are simply being reminded of it.
As we go through this study, we are going to take an approach that might be a little different from what is sometimes done by brethren in dealing with this topic. Rather than focusing as much on specifics (though there will be some of this), we will primarily be emphasizing some foundational principles.
This study will answer four questions designed to help us and help others identify the Lord’s church:
- How many churches did Jesus build?
- What rule does His church follow?
- Who makes up His church?
- What is His church to be doing?
My prayer is that this will be a beneficial study for all who take the time to prayerfully and sincerely consider it.
