This week we’re talking about the Bible and whether it is still relevant in our modern world. It is sometimes amazing to see just how different our world is today compared to how it was a hundred years ago – or even ten years ago. Not just technology, but also the values and morals of the world around us are completely foreign to what we knew if we “grew up in the church.” Because of this, many have concluded (sadly, even some in the church) that the Bible is just not relevant anymore. So that’s what we’re going to talk about today.

DISCUSSION – Is the Bible Still Relevant Today?

The overall theme of this podcast is about discussing current events, social issues, religious trends, and noteworthy news from a Biblical perspective. Those topics are always interesting to discuss with people – even people who are not very religious (or religious at all) enjoy talking about those types of things for the most part. But here we are very careful to approach it from a Biblical perspective – looking at what the Scriptures have to say that relates to whatever is under discussion so that we can respond in a way that is in harmony with the word of God. But should we even be doing this?

Is it a bit naive to think that we can use the Bible to address the issues we face in the modern world?
