Plain Bible Teaching Podcast

This week we’re talking about four areas of focus for the new year. Obviously, if we need to change our focus or make resolutions, we can do this ANY time. But the start of a new year can provide us with an extra bit of motivation to reset our priorities. These four areas are what I have been working on this year and will continue to do so in the new year. All of these are rooted in Scripture, so I’m sharing them here in hopes that you can find some way to apply these principles to your life moving forward.

TOPIC – Four Areas of Focus for the New Year

I came up with these at the end of 2021 as my “areas of focus” for 2022. So this was almost two years since the start of the pandemic. The first year (2020), everything was upended and we were all just doing the best we could. The next year (2021), we were getting back to normal and trying to figure out what things were going to be like moving forward. So as I was about to start 2022, I wanted to make sure I was trying to be as productive as I could be – particularly as it related to my life and work as a Christian.

So I came up with four areas of focus – each one based on a passage in the Bible. It has helped me to think about my focus in this way and maybe it will help you as well.
