What Are Christians to Do in a Global Pandemic? (Episode 4)

Plain Bible Teaching Podcast

The question we’ll be considering in this episode is a little bit different, as it will be related to current events:

What are Christians to do in a global pandemic?

At the last minute, I decided to postpone the previously planned episode and record this one instead. A lot of people are worried about the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). In this episode, we discuss eight points for us to remember at this time:

  1. Be wise (Matthew 10:16)
  2. Be harmless (Matthew 10:16)
  3. Be a good neighbor (Matthew 7:12)
  4. Don’t forget to pray (Philippians 4:6-7)
  5. Don’t be naive (Proverbs 14:15)
  6. Don’t worry about tomorrow (Matthew 6:33-34)
  7. Don’t live in fear (2 Timothy 1:7)
  8. Live every day with a view to eternity (Colossians 3:1-2)

  1. Frank gilbert says

I’m not sure and even with the Corona epidemic that we can worship and partake of the Lord’s Supper while at home and do it remotely. The church “came together” to partake. They also came together to sing and to teach & encourage each other in song. I don’t feel comfortable being at home alone and partaking (not with the assembly or body). Would like your thoughts and maybe words of encouragement.

  2. Excellent question, Frank. I’ve had several people ask me about that. I’ve just about decided to deal with that question in the next podcast episode.

  3. If you take a ember out of the fire and set it aside,it will die. Contact is need for Christians. Follow Gods command first

  4. Your tree is producing fruit. I use a lot of your work in my scattering of the seed. You continue using your talents and i will do the same. God has provided us this time to scatter his seed. JP
