20th Year of Plain Bible Teaching

Open Bible with Coffee Cup

The beginning of August means the start of another year of Plain Bible Teaching. The first year started back on August 1, 2005. That means we just completed nineteen full years and are beginning year number twenty!

I feel incredibly blessed that I have been able to carry on this work for so long. Honestly, at this point, I cannot imagine myself not doing this type of work. Part of the reason I have stuck with this so long is that (1) I know how many people are accessing the material on the site (based on website analytics and social media statistics), and (2) I know the material is helpful to people (based upon the emails and comments I receive directly).

So on this anniversary of Plain Bible Teaching, let me take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to each of YOU for reading, following, and sharing this material, as well as offering words of encouragement to me in this work. Some of you have been following Plain Bible Teaching since the beginning, others have discovered the site recently, and most are somewhere in between. No matter how long you have been following, I’m glad you’re here and hope the materials posted here will help you for many years to come.

The goal from the beginning has been to publish materials that can accurately be described as “plain Bible teaching” in order to help others learn or be reminded of what the word of God teaches so that they might be encouraged to live in a way that will be pleasing to the Lord. I’m thankful I’ve been able to do this for this long and have no plans to stop.

The Future of Plain Bible Teaching

Plain Bible Teaching began as a place where I would post new articles each month. Over the years, I have added sermon outlines, a podcast, and a YouTube channel with video lessons. Material from each of these categories is shared every week in the Plain Bible Teaching Weekly Newsletter. I have also added a Daily Bible Notes email list and, most recently, the Plain Bible Teaching Sermons Newsletter. However, I am always thinking of ways to improve the site and potential new features to add. I’m also continually looking for possible topics to cover.

So, at this time each year, I conduct a reader survey to get feedback from those who use the site. If you have a couple of minutes to complete the survey below, I would greatly appreciate it.

Following Plain Bible Teaching on these sites is a way to keep up with all the content being shared (besides what is included in the weekly newsletter). It is also an easy way to support Plain Bible Teaching (the more who follow, the more visible these accounts are to others). You can also easily share the materials with others on these social media sites (which is certainly appreciated).

Thank You

Once again, THANK YOU so much for your interest, support, and encouragement over the last nineteen years. I hope as we move into the twentieth year and beyond, this site will continue to benefit all of you.
