In Proverbs 23:29-35, Solomon has some strong warnings about the use of alcohol. While many want to justify the casual use of alcohol (“social drinking”), Solomon made it clear that the way of wisdom is to avoid even the first drink because of the destructive, deceptive, and addictive nature of alcohol.
